SBF, IMDA affirm to drive digital shift amongst businesses

The Singapore Business Federation (SBF) and Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) have officially renewed a memorandum of intent (MOI) that reaffirms both parties’ commitment to drive digital transformation of Singapore businesses, a statement read.
Both parties will also promote the adoption of digital technologies and position them to seize opportunities in the digital economy over the next three years.
They will help businesses understand and adopt digital B2B technologies such as e-invoicing and e-signatures, leverage Singapore’s DEAs and initiatives such as the APEC Cross Border Privacy Rules and ASEAN Cross Border Data Flows Mechanism, and support the development of digital platforms and outreach to SMEs.
“This collaboration between SBF and IMDA seeks to provide relevant support to businesses in their digital transformation efforts, including efforts to push boundaries and explore new growth markets,” said SBF chairman Lim Ming Yan at the 2020 Future Economy Conference and Exhibition (FECE).
